This new bespoke single storey house in
Suffolk was completed late 2014. The construction incorporates a steel frame with
highly insulated timber frame facing the east and south. High performance full
height glazing is installed on the west and north sides. An extensive overhanging
roof to the west protects the building from summer solar gain while allowing
winter sunshine to penetrate deep into the house. Heating is by a Biomass boiler
installed in a separate garage / utility building.
- A
contemporary designed house at Reydon is being built with views out in
mind, a special house constructed with more than 60% glazing yet warmer
than traditional housing.
